For the 2nd year in a row, ZIMLICH’S Patio & Garden Center hosted interns from Vivien’s Door. Interns received first hand experience to learn about running a small business. They were exposed to merchandise, and merchandising,  inventory management and care in a perishable & non-perishable environment, plant arrangement and customer service. Tommy and Donald Zimlich worked with interns for the morning session. After lunch, Sherry Melton and Richard Rice showed the interns the basics of operating a Garden Center.  The students learned much and can apply the basic principles they learned to whatever business they become involved in. 

We want to thank Barje Wilson, Vivien’s Door for allowing us the opportunity to work with these young men and women and look forward to working with them in 2026.
